If you are visiting Bradford and have a soft spot for theatres then a trip to The walks near Bradford Broadway is to be recommended. It boasts the largest theatrical complex in England and is the largest theatre outside London.

The broadway is broken into four sections: the North, South, East and West. The walks near Bradford North section features the most number of bars and restaurants and is the host for the annual gaming events. Other features include a multi-kiosk food court, gaming areas, a huge concert stage, ticket offices, disabled facilities and more!

The South, which is the original area of the walks near Bradford broadway, appeared around Victorian times and featured theatres, a cinema and an open air theatre. Over the years it has mainly become a shopping centre with over a dozen large stores and fast food outlets. In recent years the South has also been taken over by the discovery of the "dining out" and "fish and chips" pubs.

The East of the Broadway is where most of the "cutting edge" theatres are located, alongside some traditional venues. Soulspeak, The Venue, The Lyceum and The Grapes are all along this east area, along with several large nightclubs.

The West of Broadway is almost entirely dedicated to large modern shopping malls. The answer can be found in the West End, or if you prefer, the Centre of the West. This area of Broadway really is the heart of Leeds. It really is the cultural heart of Leeds and features Stations, theatres and cultural services.

The most famous resident of the West End is undoubtedly the West End Company. The company was established in 1933 by a group of theatre magnates who had established themselves in the existing amateur walks near Bradford theatre society. The company's theatres are said to be among the finest in the British theatre.

Since 1985, the theatres have been used for the annual Leeds Festival. The most famous of theatre groups in the West End are the Donwright Brothers. In addition to these, Leeds City Council is using its Northern Quarter as a forum to discuss the future of the theatre Quarter. The meeting point for the Council's Green Space is the Palli Wood Lawnmaze. The lawnmaze is an exhibition space which is used during the summer to display and promote various aspects of the North East. These displays include Bermuda grass visual art, Pocket Garden, Moss Gardens, Left Bank Liceo and Town View. The Crown Theatre and Penistone Theatre are also hosts to shows in the walks near Bradford lawnmaze.

The North Quarter is very popular with Leeds tourists. It features Victorian terraced houses and brick walled houses. These houses were originally built for the railway workers who worked on the Leeds and Yorkshire Railway. The Lodge and Hall, and the bakehouse are buildings which date from the Victorian age.

The walks near Bradford Quarter is very much a traditional area of Leeds, and as such it has retained many of the characteristics which are associated with those years. The Lodge and Hall is also the venue for the Leeds Alpha Bar, a pub which is members only. The Bowlen approaches the North Quarter from the direction of the Piccadilly Line. It was built in 1790 and is now a part of the viticultural area which includes the Bowlen End Bar, members only Kokoda Lounge and Snooker Bar, The Crown Cigar Bar, an external meeting point for fitness centres and the Pavilion for Fine Art.

Leeds City Council is deciding on a number of sites for redevelopment. A development project for a new bus station and underground arts and conference centre has started. It will be located on a block header provided by the John By, one of Leeds' largest and most luxurious hotels.
